Underhill Farm lies in the eastern foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in central Pennsylvania, near historic Hollidaysburg. The farm was first established in the late 1830s. Since the early 1950s, it's been a family sheep farm. We now raise Leicester Longwool Sheep and Angora Goats. The fleeces are processed by fiber mills into yarn, which are hand-dyed at the farm and are available for sale. Additionally, there are gardens behind the house that flourish from March until October. When our hens cooperate, we get wonderful eggs. It is the yarns that we are now known for selling. We have fingering, sport, dk, worsted and bulky yarns. Some are natural and some are hand dyed.

The farm currently raises a heritage breed of sheep, Leicester Longwools, as well as Angora goats in the rolling hills of the area. Their fleece is processed into lustrous, beautiful yarns. As we are first time shepherds, this endeavor has been a great way to develop new skills and knowledge of both livestock and farming. Our sense of humor has remained intact.
