CSA: Underwood Family Farms in Somis

By becoming a member of the Underwood Family Farms CSA, you will receive a weekly shipment of seasonal fruits and vegetables, grown on our farm, with a value of at least $20. The mix will depend on the season and the selection could be governed by any farming challenges we may encounter. Our produce is all grown locally and will be harvested one day and delivered the next. We offer 2 types of memberships - a monthly and a quarterly. The monthly is for 4 weeks. The quarterly is for 13 weeks and includes a Season Pass to the farm in Moorpark upon initial sign up as well as a personalized tour (to be scheduled) of our Moorpark location. Both programs will have access to recipes and product information available on our website. The season pass is a $32 value which also includes a 50% discount to our Fall Harvest Festival. September 2008 marked the beginning of our CSA program with VUSD & in December 2008, we began our program with Kaiser Panorama City. As these 2 programs are delivery memberships, the quarterly cost per week is $26 because they include an off-site delivery fee. For all programs, sign-up can occur at any time, but pickups/deliveries will start the succeeding week only if sign up occurs before 6pm on Friday. For all the programs, the subscription period is no less than 3 months. Quarterly memberships renew automatically after 13 weeks and monthly memberships renew automatically every 4 weeks. To cancel a membership before automatic renewal, notice must be received before 6pm on the Friday before the next box it delivered. Deliveries/pickups are specific to each program and it is the memberâÂ?™s responsibility to pick up their produce. Once collected, it is important to keep produce cool to retain freshness.
