Valley Creek Ranch, LLC is a family run ranch, raising Icelandic Sheep, sitting on 800+ acres. We are 30 miles west of Billings, Montana. The ranch consists of pastures of native prairie, crested wheat, creek bottom and timber, allowing us free range grazing through multiple seasons for our livestock . This lends itself well to Icelandic Sheep which have been raised in Iceland, a non-grain producing country, for centuries. Our hardy registered Icelandic Sheep are raised without growth hormones and we can thank our arid high desert for not having to use antibiotics and de-wormers. We are committed to raising the best grass finished meat and wool, in a humane and healthy atmosphere. Icelandic sheep are one of the world's oldest and purest breeds. For over a thousand years, they have provided fiber, meat and milk. The meat is lean, tender and mild flavored. The fleece is a dual coat, with a fine soft undercoat and a long coarser outer coat. The wool of the Icelandic Sheep is a delight for fiber artisans, felters and handspinner's. The Icelandic Sheep has long been a valued animal on the farm, and continues to be a hardy, healthy, thrifty sheep, offering high quality meat, fiber and milk.
