Country Lakes Alpacas

In 2009, we welcomed our first 6 alpacas and my husband's dream of a small farm and mine of "growing my own sweaters" became reality. Our herd has now grown to 38 beautiful white, black, fawn, gray and mahogany colored animals. All were carefully chosen or bred for their their personalities and their potential for wonderful, soft fleeces. These gentle, gorgeous animals produce fiber softer and warmer than wool. Our year's harvest of fleece was processed into beautiful luxury yarn for knitters and rovings for spinners. Our farm store sells yarn made from each of these animals' fleeces and other alpaca apparel.
