Welcome to Violet Hill Farm, a small boutique style farm specializing in huacaya alpacas, moorit merino sheep and fiber. Raw fiber is sold to coops or traded in exchange for finished goods; even processed by fiber mills into roving, batts and yarn for hand crafters.

I employ natural production techniques including composting and use of organic soil amendments, including reuse of alpaca manure for topdressing and amendment to add microbial biota to the soil.

Farm tours and introduction to the farm philosophy, alpaca breeding herd, and fleece processing is welcome most weekends. Small groups can be accommodated for tours, educational seminars and demonstrations of shearing, fiber processing and spinning upon request.
