Brothers John and Tad grew up around fresh wholesome produce. They spent long summers in Maine helping both their parents and grandmother maintain extensive vegetable gardens. Its through these experiences they developed an appreciation for fresh picked, pesticide free, nutritious vegetables. Fast forward to 2010 when they started studying the latest developments in hydroponic farming. They discovered they could produce those fresh tasting vegetables they remembered from childhood and provide them all year round. Hydroponics is sustainable, using only one fourth the space and one tenth the water that a typical corporate farm uses, all with the benefits of organic heirloom seeds and no pesticides. They knew people would love those fresh tasting vegetables as much as they did! So that's how San Diego Fresh began, with an idea to provide the best tasting and highest quality produce to the local community.
