We are a relatively new farm, operating on land that has been farmed following organic practices for well over five years. Our farming practices are strictly organic and sustainable, safe for the consumer and the environment. We use plant and livestock rotation to help naturally improve and fertilize the soil, and we use composting and vermiculture practices to produce high quality compost from vegetable waste.
We market our products primarily through farmers markets in the greater Washington, D.C. region and CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture).
You can get our products by visiting us at a farmers market or joining a CSA. During the growing season (currently March to December) we bring produce to farmers markets located in Middletown and Frederick, MD, and Arlington, VA.
Our CSA members may select one of two participation options:
1. Traditional: Members will pick up (at farm or nearest farmers market) a box of produce worth at least 15% more than their pre-paid weekly share. A full season commitment is preferred, but spring/summer/fall options are available.
2. Hybrid: Members will purchase full-season or spring/summer/fall shares and select produce from the farmers market table. Members will receive about a 15% discount, therefore a member selecting a $25 share will select almost $30 worth of produce.
