Water Crest Farms Nursery was established by William D Wells on a small farm in Southern Chester County in the early 70's. The nursery was originally planted to support the landscape company W.D. Wells & Associates. The focus was on growing larger specimen evergreens and ornamental plants not available locally. By the mid 80's the need for a larger farm to grow trees and shrubs was apparent and space for the growing landscape company prompted our move to our present location in West Grove , PA.
In 2012 the decision to close the landscape division and focus on growing and selling a complete line of the highest quality plants was made. This move allowed us to concentrate fully on supplying both professionals and homeowners with great plants, service, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
While we are known for our premium large American Hollies, mature specimen ornamentals and evergreens, we grow and stock much more including perennials, trees, shrubs, screening plants, evergreens & native plants in a full range of sizes to suit all needs.

Our landscape distribution center is comprised of five acres fully stocked with perennials, shrubs, evergreens, shade trees and more. Go online to see our current availability as we stock much more than
what we produce in our own fields. We serve Landscape Architects, Contractors, Designers,
Municipalities, Golf Courses and Institutions. With our experience if we do not have it in stock, we can
likely locate it for you or offer options or alternatives. Customers who order ahead will have their plants pulled and ready saving time and money. We also offer local delivery on our trucks. Delivery of larger loads and greater distance is arranged through trusted local carriers ensuring your plants arrive in good shape when you need them. We exercise care in plant selection but realize that you may want to select your own material. Call to arrange a tour. If you do not have time for a visit you may request photographs. Let us know how we may serve you. We do our best to accommodate all requests.

Our nursery is located 12 miles West of Longwood Gardens, in Southeastern Pennsylvania. From US-1 take the Jennersville exit onto Rt. 796 North. Make the first right onto Woodview Rd. Follow until the first STOP sign and turn right onto Woodcrest Rd. We are at the end of the road on the left. Note: We are on the North side of US-1. Some GPS/Mapping Sites will take you to the wrong side. The closest intersection to input is Woodview Rd. & Woodcrest Rd.
