Gordon Farms

I have been raising grass fed beef since the 1980s. I offer CSA shares that include delivery in Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga and Rensselaer counties. My beef is processed under USDA inspection, packaged in cryovac and freshly frozen. My animals are born on my farm, fed on my pastures, or on hay produced here. I am practicing winter grazing, bale grazing and some mob grazing.I attend conferences and seminars to learn more and have had the pleasure of one on one with such leaders as Joel Salatin. I have just made my application for organic certification for my field crops. I raise hay oats and barley for sale, and hopefully can become a source for other certified organic farmers. I use no hormones, pesticides, herbicides and only treat my animals with an antibiotic if necessary for their safety. I strive to keep my carbon footprint low by using solar and geothermal energy and I will continue to advance this goal. My focus is to provide healthy foods to families, and clean feedstocks to other organic livestock producers.
