Smithland Farm is a small family farm that has been in our family four generation, with the fifth waiting their turn to carry on the tradition. Taking advantage of the rolling topography, most of our 180 acres have remained permanent pasture. Being familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of the farm, we are able to work with the land instead of forcing the land to work with us. With this in mind, the breeds of animals have been selected according to their ability to thrive in a grazing environment. Our animals (dairy, beef, and lamb) are never given hormones or steroids.
