Wayside Farms is a 100 acre agricultural operation that includes hay tree fruit, grapes, berries and seasonal vegetables. The farm is part of the Pitchess Detention Center, A Los Angeles Sheriffs Department Jail. Inmates learn sustainable agricultural practices through a vocational training program aimed at changing their lives and keeping them from returning to jail.
