The Picayune Farmer's Market @ GBC was created to bring together local growers, producers, artisans, and handcrafters to promote the sale of locally sourced, high quality products and to promote a sense of community within Picayune and the surrounding areas. The Picayune Farmer's Market @ GBC encourages a healthy local community by providing the public with direct access to local food producers, artisans, and handcrafters. The Market serves to stimulate and support the local economy, to provide opportunities to inform and entertain, to support and encourage environmental sustainability, and to promote a strong sense of community in our area. We strive to give growers and producers of local agricultural commodities and other farm-related products and crafts, to improve the variety, freshness, taste, and nutritional value of produce available in this area and to enhance the quality of life in the Picayune area by providing a community activity which fosters social gathering and interaction.
