Strong Family Farm is a historic family farm located in Vernon Center, CT. Formerly a dairy farm and transitioning to being a noted turkey farm, its roots date back to the late 1800s.
Strong Family Farm acts as a 501(c)3 community farm offering agricultural educational programs along with opportunities to do volunteer work on a farm. It has a CT grown and produced farm stand that is an outlet for area farmers as an alternative to the Farmers Markets.
The annual Harvest Festival takes place the third Saturday in October with many family activities and farm animals. Visitors are encouraged to come when the farm store is open and visit our heritage breed of chickens and pet our famous barn cat, Lilly. Farm tours are available upon request,
