Tucked into the South of the River area of Roane County, Tennessee, Winged Elm Farm is a diverse 70-acre farm that supports a variety of livestock, as well as heirloom fruits and vegetables. Our primary products are steers and hogs, both of which we sell directly to the customer. We offer lamb occasionally. The meat we raise is natural: it contains no antibiotics, medication, or hormones, and we buy our grain from a small local feedstore that mixes its own. Our cattle are raised on pasture for three years; our hogs are raised in the woods on produce and grain. We have raised speckled Sussex chickens for many years, mainly for home use, but we do occasionally have chicks available. We also maintain a large garden, have a two-acre orchard, and keep bees to pollinate our fruit trees and provide a bit o' honey. We have a pair of English shepherds that are not only great companions but also excellent farm helpers! We've raised one litter of puppies, in spring 2011. We welcome inquiries about our meat and are happy to answer questions about anything and everything on our farm. Brian & Cindy
