Stony Ridge Lamb

An Iowa Family Company Jim and Shelly Hannaford along with their three young children own and operate Stony Ridge Lamb Company. They both grew up on rural cattle farms. After a few years of living in the suburbs they both felt drawn to return to their rural, farming roots and started their own farm outside of Des Moines, Iowa. They felt that the farm life provided an excellent opportunity to raise their children with the solid values that come along with the work involved in raising livestock. With their young children and their love of animals they found sheep to be the perfect fit for their family operation. Jim and Shelly have worked hard in selecting sheep that will produce the highest quality meat for your table. When deciding to start the business they committed to produce gourmet lamb to satisfy even the most discerning tastes. They also desire to introduce local lamb to Iowa families unfamiliar with the outstanding dish. Lamb is served in the finest restaurants and has the reputation of being a delicacy. Rightfully so.
