Platypus Flats Ranch

Platypus Flats Ranch is a family farming venture. We believe in raising our birds and beef in the most natural way possible. We do not use hormones or artificial supplements. Our birds are free range birds. Our birds are allowed free space to roam and pick, within the safety of our beef pasture and yard. They are fed locally ground grain as a supplement. We use flax seed instead of soy. We raise heritage breeds of turkeys (Wischer Bronze), traditional slow- growing broilers (Standard Dark Cornish), and Cornish Game Hens. We also have ducks (Muscovy) and geese (Toulouse). We are seeking AWA status in 2013.
