Humanely Raised Meat

Humanely Raised Meat is a group of Ohio small farmers raising livestock humanely and sustainably, on pasture. We ship our products directly to your door and are accepting subscriptions for our 2013 meat CSA. Some of our practices: All animals are pasture based every day of the year. We do not alter animals in any way; pigs noses are not rung, chickens beaks and combs are not clipped, livestock is not castrated. We supplement our poultry and pigs with locally grown and milled non-GMO feed. Sheep and cows are completely grass fed. Family groups are kept together; roosters roam with their flock, poultry are free to hatch and raise their clutches, mothers are kept with their offspring, boars are not separated. We do not use farrowing crates EVER. Animals give birth and raise their young on pasture. Animals are butchered humanely and close to home. No one sees a stockyard or slaughter house.
