"Belties" are extremely lean and produce a very flavorful beef. Wikipedia describes the beef from the Belted Galloway as: [b}The Meat Animal Research Center (MARC) showed that Galloway crosses placed at the top of the chart for flavor, juiciness and tenderness when compared to eleven other breeds.[/b}
Our animals pasture on grass during the growing season and top quality hay during the winter months. They are given a small amount of grain every day (about 2 cups each) which they simply love.
All of our animals are humanely treated. They are free ranging and receive no antibiotics or hormones of any kind.
Our slaughter house is very close by so there is little transportation stress and we can package the meat as you like. The next available harvest will be in the fall of 2021. We sell quarters and sides at very competitive prices.
If you would just like to stop by and see the animals and the farm we welcome that too. We have some guinea fowl that love to show off.
