Barry's Berries and Jan's Jams (and more!) at Rose Tree Hill Farm, is a small family farm located in Charles City County, Virginia, between Richmond and Williamsburg. We are only a 20 minute drive from downtown Richmond. It is hard to believe but our farm story began with an encounter with a rosetree (an English translation from greek for a rhodedendron bush) on 8200 West Cool Hill Road! My wife, Jan and I saw it blooming at the end of the driveway, and we just knew this beautiful place would be the beginning of our farming journey. We bought this old, neglected fruit orchard in 1990, and lovingly restored it with the educational guidance of Virginia State University's Small Farm Program scientists, and since 2006, we have been growing and selling the best berries (blueberries, raspberries, mulberries, limited edition strasberries, blackberries) in Charles City Co., V

Your Pick-Your-Own Experience will begin when you call and set up an appointment. You'll need to make an appointment because our crops ripen on Mother Nature's timetable and we are not 100% sure when the different crops are ready. We understand your time is important, and don't want you driving out to the farm, only to find we have nothing ready to pick! We'll have in-season blueberries, raspberries, mulberries, strasberries, blackberries, figs, pears, and cherries, until we are "Picked Out!"
