This is our second year with Monroe. We absolutely love the quality and amount of veggies we get in our CSA. We are working members and love how the Monroes run their farm and take care of their members. They are our friends and family in Colorado.

My husband and I, along with our two children, have been members of Monroe Farm for over ten years--and it's such a central part of our lives that I can't actually remember which year was our first!

The Monroe family, employees, and working members consistently deliver high quality produce in an outstanding variety to share holders. The adjuncts to their produce are also of highest quality: beef, lamb, pork, eggs, honey, and western slope Colorado fruit. Their price is competitive, and, sometimes, embarrassingly reasonable for the quality they deliver.

We have a working membership, which only heightens our appreciation for the product we receive as members. There's nothing like hoeing the weeds in June from the beets we want to savor in July and August!

I'll leave you with one last juicy, compelling fact: we always get to eat our fill from the acres and acres of melons plumping up on this farm every summer, lovingly tended by the chief melon master himself, Jerry Monroe!

We have been working members of Monroe Organic Farms since 2006. It has been life changing for us. We have come to really depend on this family for our summer produce as well as beef, pork, lamb and eggs. And with our winter share I can honestly say I haven't purchased a potato (and only a couple of onions) since our time with them began. My children have learned what it means to eat fresh local food in season. They appreciate that we just don't eat strawberries in February or melons in June. But when we do get them, they are the tastiest ones we have ever had!

The Monroe's have a long history of farming. They understand what it takes to grow a wide variety of foods in this sometimes crazy CO climate, and we have been so blessed to benefit from that. My family is so thankful that another family would commit their lives to growing organic food, and doing it so very well.

My family have been working members at Monroe Organic Farms since 2005. In the summer, my husband works on the farm with our 3 children. We have been so pleased with the variety and quality of the produce we've received from the farm! We love that we know our farmers, and our farmers know every inch of the 180 acres of the farm.

Monroe farms is a true CSA. They depend solely on memberships and farmers markets for their stability. When there's a bumper crop, members benefit, and when crops fail, members do without.

We're a part of this farm because we want to KNOW our food and KNOW our farmers!

This is our third year with Monroe Organic Farms. The produce has been outstanding, with incredible variety and quality. We have been introduced to some vegetables that we would not normally buy at the store and have become adventuresome in our cooking. The distribution systems is well organized. We are already looking forward to the next season.

I never knew there was food like this out there. And everyone thinks it's so 'expensive' to eat fresh, organic foods. Oh the melons...and tomatoes...the celery, and the peppers! I don't think I could ever go back to store-bought produce. Thank you so much Monroe family for giving my family optimal health.
