5L Farms

At 5L Farms, we raise grass-fed and finished Beefalo and sheep. Beefalo is a cross between American Bison and domesticated cattle. Since they are part Bison, the end product is Lean Red Meat, making each cut lower in fat and bad cholesterol while having higher amounts of protein and iron than traditionally grown cattle. 

We are dedicated to raising our herd and flock as nature intended, without the aid of antibiotics, hormones, or growth implants. Our animals spend their entire lives on pasture, eating from certified organic fields and certified organic hay in the winter. As nature would have it, we practice regenerative grazing; thus, rotating our animals to new paddocks of grasses and cover crop mixtures weekly. This allows our animals to enjoy new, nutritious food and allows the last paddock to rest and regrow.

Through our website, you can find all the cuts we offer, from a classic premade burger to harder-to-find butcher cuts like a petite tender. We offer pick-up at the farm, or if you are further away, we can ship your order to you.
