Deep Roots Meat is a regenerative ranch located in Madison County, Florida which provides USDA-inspected individual meat packages and Custom Harvest Half and Whole shares.
The mission of Deep Roots Meat is to make meat a health food product by raising our livestock with regenerative practices which enrich the earth and human health. We have been in the cattle business for six generations and have been raising All Grass (Forage) Fed Beef for over 20 years. Our operation consists of over 1,800 acres of regeneratively managed pasture and hay fields.
Our Red Angus-influenced cattle are bred, born, and raised on our ranch. They only eat high-quality grasses, forages, and hay that we grow and bale. To grow the grasses and forages, we implement practices such as rotational grazing, no-till planting, and fertilizing with organic fertilizers, including fish emulsions and seaweed. Our cattle are NOT fed any grain or animal by-products and are NOT supplemented with GMO's. 100% forage-fed and forage finished.
In recent years, we diversified our ranch to include other livestock. On the same grasses and forages, we added All Grass (Forage) Fed Lamb and Goat, and Pasture Raised Pork, Chicken, and Eggs. The only animals that receive feed supplementation are the pigs and chickens. The feed ration is soy-free and made specifically for the pigs and chickens at the ranch. Our livestock are NEVER given antibiotics, hormones, or mRNA vaccines. We use low-stress handling techniques that make all the animals happy!
With the way we raise our livestock, you can taste the difference. Try our meat without ANY seasonings. Not even salt & pepper! Additionally, all our meat comes exclusively from animals bred, born, and raised on our ranch, so we can without a doubt tell you exactly how it was raised every step of the way.
We have farm tour weekends every Spring and Fall at our ranch so that you can see our operation for yourself. Everyone loves a good hayride! More information on our website.

DIRECTIONS: From Tallahassee take I 10 East to exit 241 (US 221 for Greenville and Perry). After exiting, turn left (North) onto US 221 to the intersection of HWY 90. Turn right and proceed about 2.5 miles. We are the mailbox marked 11061 on the right after Hickory Hill Way (a dirt road on the right.) Turn right onto our driveway, go over the railroad tracks.
