The Marketplace DFW markets are community european style markets that include growers, artisan, craftsmen, local merchants and live music. They are great community events that are perfect for foodies, art lovers, hand-good's enthusiasts and families, and are designed to lift up and bring focus to all things local. The Garland Marketplace runs April through September on every 3rd Saturday of the month in Garland's historic downtown square. This event supports Good Samaritans of Garland and is presented in conjunction with the Garland Downtown Business Association.

I really enjoy the market on the Square in Garland. There were only a couple of stands selling fruits and vegetables and I would love to see more!!! The breads, pickles, honey and jelly/jam stands were nice too.... [more]
The emphasis is on other things then fresh produce and food. Last time we went (last year), there was one vendor selling veggies and one selling honey - there rest were arts & crafts, jewelry, services, and live music.
