We are open for drop by customers Thursday through Saturday 8:30-5:30. During events we often have extended hours. We are closed Sundays and Holiday Weekends. There is a Farm Museum, a bible Garden and a Wool Mill, all of which are available to tour (seasonally).
We teach people about agriculture, basic farming, and how the farm animals and plants relate to God's Word in the Bible.
Farm tours include the Pumpkin Festival Tours in October, Shepherding Tours in the spring, Bible Garden Tours from spring through the fall, and Living Nativity Tours in December. Additionally we host "Woolly Weekend" shearing weekend at the farm in April. Tour groups are welcome, with advance registration, most any day and time of the week. We can facilitate tour buses. The 6000 square foot Amish built, Gambrel roof barn allows tours to proceed, even in inclimate weather.
Shepherd's Shop hosts a variety of naturally grown farm produce, including fresh USDA certified pasture raised lamb, Shepherd's Cross wool products - naturally processed - wools, yarns, blankets and pelts, vegetables, pecans, pumpkins, pumpkin seeds, Amish jams and jellies, candles, and a variety of specialty gift items.
We do offer farm internships and apprenticeships; each beng crafted to meet individual needs.
Lessons are available - spinning, weaving, felting, wool washing, carding, knitting, crocheting, and much more.
Shepherd's Bible Garden is a unique representation of over 300 varieties of plants that relate to the Bible in one manner or another. These are self-guided tours, or a guided tour is available with advanced registration.
Woolly Weekend is an open house shearing event, held the last weekend of October. It is a true Sheep to Shawl event, one of only a few it's kind in the nation.
