Honey Creek Creamery is a goat dairy located in Honey Creek, Iowa, within 10 miles of Omaha and Council Bluffs. The Century Farm is nestled in the Loess Hills of southwest Iowa. A 1920s original bunkhouse on the farm was converted into the dairy plant for processing. Our does browse in the woods and among Loess Hills' native plants which gives our cheese a unique flavor.
Artisan cheese is crafted using fresh milk and organic herbs. The soft goat cheese (chevre) is smooth, spreadable, mild and has a hint of tang. Flavorings offered in addition to simply pure (plain) include: basil garlic, dill, cranberry horseradish, smoked, smokey aleppo pepper, rosemary pistachio, and lemon verbena & honey. The cheese can be used directly with crackers or can easily be added for cooking.
