10th Annual Mayhaw Berry Harvest Festival
The Mayhaw Berries are ripening and it's time for our 10th Annual Mayhaw Berry Harvest Festival!
Free fun for the Whole Family, and a great Mother's Day Destination. New lambs, goat kids and puppies are in the pastures and the Petting Place. Bring or buy a box lunch and picnic in the pastoral beauty. Tour the ranch on old-fashioned hayrides. Sign up for prizes, meet and support local farmers, arts and crafts people. Learn crafts, build things andlearn stuff about farming, ranching, gardening and just living in the panhandle of Florida.

8th Annual New Leaf Market Farm Tour
The New Leaf Market Farm Tour is one of our best events each year. So much to do and see - stroll and picnic in the serene beauty here at Golden Acres Ranch. Walk around the goat and sheep pastures, watch the big livestock dogs, go on hay rides and ask us about any facet of our operations. Let the little ones pet lambs and kids in the petting area, chase chickens and play on the Phony Pony (an all-time favorite).
This year expect to see Southern Tree Source, Knife Making with Bob Stott, Wolf Creek Pet Adoption Center, Wool, Looming and Felting products and lessons and many other local vendors, services and craftspeople.

Small Farm Conference in Kissimmee
We are at the Small Farm Conference this weekend. I've been asked to participate in a special session and to serve on a panel of experts. This is the conference where I won the "Innovative Farmer of the Year" award in 2009.
We're taking some of the mini-myotonic goats with us.

Mayhaw Berry Farm Festival
We are getting ready for our 5th Annual Mayhaw Berry Farm Festival. This year the event will be held over two days, Saturday and Sunday, May 14th and 15th.
We'll be harvesting berries and selling them fresh, holding jelly-making classes and hay rides. Fresh, frozen USDA processed lamb and goat will be available. We're still rounding up some local vendors and artists.
There's plenty of parking. Plan to spend an hour or so strolling the grounds of our beautiful ranch. Call or email for more information.

Tomato Feastival
This Sunday, the 20th (Happy Fathers Day) we will be one of the vendors at Turkey Hill Farms big, annual Tomato Feastival. Turkey Hill Farm is located at 3546 Baum Road, Tallahassee 32309 which is just 8 miles from Tallahassee.
The event is from 4:00 to 8:00 and proceeds go to Slow Foods. Tickets are $10 and please bring a covered dish Paella tickets are $5 and there will be enough Paella for the first 100 people.
