Bluegrass Farmers Market

Fall is officially here and the weather has been beautiful! Tomorrow promises to be the same...sunny and warm! It's the perfect time to shop at Lexington's largest 100% homegrown/produced market...the Bluegrass Farmers' Market! :) Both of our market location offer plenty of free parking too! Homegrown goodness and free parking...what more can you ask for. :)

When I sit down to write the entry for the blog each week, I take all of the information that our farmers email me. Apparently almost everyone must have been very busy this week because I only heard from a few farmers. So, this list might look short but I can almost guarantee that you'll find many more farmers at the markets tomorrow.

So, here's the list of goodies that I know for sure will be at the markets...

RICHMOND RD.

KELLY'S KOBE BEEF & HERMAN'S HAPPY HOGS will have the 100% Wagyu " KOBE " beef on sale...one pound plus rolls for $5.00 each! Breakfast sausage roll or patties for $3.50 each. (we only have the medium plus spice). The rolls weigh a little bit more than a pound! We will also have a good selection of beef roast available as well!

CALUDI'S FIELDS will be arriving with red ripe tomatoes and wonderful fruit jams!

HERB'N RENEWAL will be bringing extra Chili Season'n seen as how it is that time of the year! They'll also have their Mull'n Spice available for the first time this season. Don't forget the handcrafted soaps and the freshly baked Zucchini, Apple'n Oat Thingies!

JANE'S GARDEN, FLOWERS & HERBS will have plenty of colorful fresh cut flowers available!

OVERMAN'S BG FRUIT & VEGETABLES will be bringing plenty of homegrown goodness...not sure what it will be until they harvest today!

AZUR RESTAURANT & PATIO

Wish I could say I had an idea of what will be available but I can't...I didn't hear from any of the farmers at this market location. I can guarantee that whatever you'll find will be nothing but great! :)

We'll be set up in the parking lot of our sponsors, Pedal the Planet and Fast Signs. It's just a hop, skip and a jump outside of Man 'O War Blvd. Parking is right there so you don't have to drive around hunting for a spot to park. The parking lot is also paved and that makes it very stroller and wheelchair friendly! And, we love seeing your four-legged friends!

Our farmers will be set up in the parking lot and possibly the patio of AZUR Restaurant & Patio. Beaumont Centre is just outside new Circle Rd. off of Harrodsburg Rd.

PARKING IS ALWAYS FREE AT BOTH MARKETS!!!
