Stock up for Thanksgiving this Saturday at the Williamsburg Farmers Market from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  There will be Holiday decorations and gifts, oysters, bison, grass-fed beef, chicken, mushrooms, fresh greens, cheeses, Greek baked goods, artisan chocolate, pies and peanuts available for purchase.  Kindred Spirits will perform 9 am – 11 am. There will be Apple Tasting at the chefs tent at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.  The next markets will be November 26 and December 10.

Apple Tasting at the Market
 
Oysters, bison, grass-fed beef, mushrooms, cut flowers, Greek baked goods, artisan chocolate, and peanuts are all available for purchase at the Williamsburg Farmers Market.  Blush will perform from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., Roslyn Taylor will conduct an apple tasting  at the Chefs Tent at 9:30 and 10:30 am. and the  Master Gardeners will be present to answer gardening questions.  The first Holiday market is November 19.

This weekend at the Williamsburg Farmers Market is for the children. Make sure to bring your comera as there will be a scavenger hunt and events for children.  WJCC SHIP (School Health Initiative Program) will be cooking up some fun at the Chefs Tent and demonstrating Zumba. Macaroni Kid Williamsburg will also attend with more fun activities.  Fall produce, pork, cut flowers, and peanuts are all available for purchase. Arden Clark will play fiddle music. The City of Williamsburg will have a recycling booth and the Master Naturalists will provide an exhibit.  Full season open through October 29.

Jim Gay of Colonial Williamsburg Foodways will be at the Chefs Tent; Flute Frenzy will perform; and Master Gardeners will discuss compost.  Shop for pumpkins, fall greens, herb plants, bison, beef, artisan chocolate, pasta and apples.  The Williamsburg Farmers Market is open Saturdays through October 29.

8:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Sentara Regional Medical Center’s Chef Patrick Day will be at the Chefs Tent, Orion will play Celtic music and Riverside Health System will exhibit their cancer and purse project.  Shop for pumpkins, kale, free-range chicken, pork, bread, cheeses and apples.  Knife sharpening available.  The Williamsburg Farmers Market is open through October 29.

8:00 a.m. – 12 noon

Tidewater Oyster Gardener Association will bring an exhibit, Williamsburg Art Month continues at the Market, Riverwalk Restaurant will be at the Chefs Tent at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., and Me & Jo will perform 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.. An array of seasonal products from local farmers, bakers, watermen and growers will be for sale along with beverages at the Williamsburg Farmers Market.

Saturday, September 10

8:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Jean Monaco of MARTINS will be at the Chefs Tent at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. The Master Gardeners will attend and the Runaway String Band will perform from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. Apples, pork, organic vegetables, cheese, bread, honey, artisan chocolate and herb plants are among the many offerings at the Williamsburg Farmers Market.

Saturday, September 3

8:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The final presentation in the Discover You Can series will feature apple sauce. The Master Naturalists will attend and David Moran will perform 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.. Apples, pork, organic vegetables, cheese, bread, honey, artisan chocolate and herb plants are among the many offerings for Labor Day gatherings at the Williamsburg Farmers Market.

Peak Season at the Williamsburg Farmers Market

It's the peak season for produce, fruit, cheese, bread, honey, seafood, and pies at the Williamsburg Farmers Market.  Ball Canning demo by Two Girls and a Hammer will be at the Chefs Tent, the Heritage Humane Society will attend and Stephen Moore will perform 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
