These items include healthy oils, spices, cacao, grains, rice, coconut products, Nuts (Raw, Soaked & Dried, Certified Organic, Mixed) and natural sweeteners.
Nature’s Kitchen was founded by Rory Mitchell with the help of his wife and son. They began their food journey experimenting with various herbs and spices as a means to improve their health and begin living a healthier lifestyle. They also wanted to introduce the flavors of their cultures to their children. Rory is from Jamaica while his wife is from India. From this came 2 new products -Jammin’ Jerk Marinade and Smokin’ Jerk BBQ Saucinade. They are currently in the process of launching some new flavors as well.
Nature’s Kitchen participated in the 2016 Flavors of Georgia competition and was presented the Food Product Contest Finalist award for their Smokin’ Jerk BBQ Saucinade!
Their sauces and marinades are made with vegetarian ingredients, are gluten free, contain no high fructose corn syrup, and are GMO- free.
I used the Smokin’ Jerk BBQ Saucinade to make some jerk shrimp and my family loved it. It is a mild jerk flavor so the kids were also able to enjoy and has wonderful complex flavor profile.
1. Marinade shrimp while you heat up grill
2. Skewer shrimp
3. cook 1 to 2 minutes per side (or until fully cooked)
4. add more saucinade or serve on side for dipping
Enjoy!
SEASONAL ITEMS are coming to an end:Just a reminder that the apple butter will be on table this week and will be the LAST available after the supply is exhausted. Pear Preserves will be the same with when sold out, there will be none till next year. The next batch will be next September.
My Daily Bread will have both the gluten free tiramisu and gluten free pumpkin rolls available for Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as the regular pumpkin rolls.
Fry Farm peppers are on their way out so if you need some order this week. Once they are done we won’t have them back on the market for awhile. These can be easily frozen for future use during the cold months ahead. Thinking about chili hopefully soon!
