Green Journey Seeds is a cottage industry created from the ground up! These seeds are organically grown on our small family farm, south of Veneta, Oregon. From Amaranth to Zinnia...this is garden grown goodness for the Pacific Northwest!
At harvest time, we gather, dry, clean & sort our seeds. During the fall and winter, we test for germination and hand pack our best seeds for springs to come. Local gardeners love the original illustrations and seed saving tips on our homemade seed packets. Thanks to the generous support of our community, this seed-saving passion & handiwork has endured for over two decades.
Pick up a selection of packets from our seed racks for stocking stuffers. Send a gift of seeds with our unique seed greeting cards. Each holds a pack of Green Journey Seeds. The embossed cards are 50% sugar cane/50% recycled fibers with 100% recycled paper envelopes. A gift set of 4 Seed Greeting Cards keeps on giving!
Green Journey Seeds are sold locally at Down to Earth (532 Olive Street, Eugene), Sundance Natural Foods (748 E. 24th Avenue, Eugene) & Kalapuya Books (637 E. Main Street, Cottage Grove).

Heirloom Fragrant Bi-colored Sweet Peas
As the rain clouds disperse and soil saturation lessens, we prepare the garden for not so early plantings of our favorite flowers, edibles and medicinal herbs. Heirloom Sweet Peas sown in pots in the greenhouse in January are ready to extend their roots into the earth and grow! Directly sown in your cool spring soils, now, these fragrant beauties will provide some of the earliest booms of summer.
Send a gift of seeds to a loved one with a seed greeting card. Choose a variety from our seed collection, click on the heading and choose the "seed pack w/card & env." option. We can send your chosen gift to you or personalize a seed card with your message and mail it to your recipient with your return address. We are shipping orders within a weeks time.
Love, Aline

I have put the seed store on vacation mode for the month of January 2015. Hoping the rest and hand therapy I'll be gratefully receiving this month will put Green Journey Seeds back in these listings in good time. I want to thank all of our customers for their support in 2014, and wish you all a Happy New Year!
Here's the notice you'll see in our online store, starting today. "This farmer is currently on medical leave and may not be offering seeds until later in the 2015 season. We invite you to check back here in February for an update, put your name on a waiting list for a specific product, or contact us through our localharvest.org mailbox. Thank you for your interest!!"
Peace is growing,
Love, Aline

Have you met this vivid red star of yesteryear? Once popular in Colonial American gardens, our Zinnia pauciflora foundation seed was sourced from the historic gardens of Monticello.
We have joyfully grown and saved the seed of this lovely heirloom flower in our Green Journey seed garden here in Oregon's Coast Range for several years now. This Zinnia is easily grown from seed and fairly tolerant of our drier summers, thriving in the heat of July & August.
Small-flowered Heirloom Zinnia in her present glory…all buds, blooms and fresh seeds to gather!

Our first year anniversary as a member of this Localharvest.org community is coming up in May, and our new store here is allowing us to distribute seeds all across the country. We'd like to thank all of our Localharvest customers today for your support!
Steve’s words and my illustrations are the heartbeat of our green journey… an indie seed company begun in 1995. I’m drawn back to our roots as we begin our twentieth year of sowing and saving seeds.
Here’s our story in a nutshell, with many thanks to all of the poppyswap community for teaching me the ins and outs of online marketing.
Love, Aline
