Red Rooster Farm and Produce

Welcome to Red Rooster Farm and CSA. Fall is a perfect time for us to reflect on the past season. We are proud of what we accomplished and humbled by the positive feedback that we received from our customers and friends. In the beginning of 2015, we installed a high tunnel. Doug put the tunnel up himself. He is often heard saying" I might purchase another one, but I will hire someone to help me!" We were pleasantly surprised how the high tunnel gave us an early start on the season. We were able to offer zucchini, cucumbers, beans, and lettuce at the farm market in May. One of the goals for Red Rooster Farm and CSA was to create a CSA. We accomplished this with our members finding us by word of mouth. We continued with having a booth at the Sherwood Saturday Market. As the season continued, it was fun to hear our customers tell other people "You have to try their cucumbers" or "they have the best melons." As part of our ongoing commitment to give back to the community, we plant extra rows of vegetables and melons and donate to the Marion-Polk food Share. Now that fall is here, we are planning for 2016. We are creating a web site which will allow you to sign up for our CSA online. Thank you so much for visiting - Maryann and Doug Davis.
