We believe CSA members should have both choice and flexibility, so we offer a diverse array of build-your-own shares which begin and end in time with the seasons. Bluestem Farm CSA members can choose from a menu of certified organic vegetables, pasture-raised, non-GMO pork, chicken, and eggs. Members choose each item that goes into a veggie share--or let us pick for you. That's also your choice!
One thing that really makes our CSA special is that, over and above the regular price of the share, we give our members extra food for the purpose of preservation. There is no charge for a bag of canning tomatoes or pickling cucumbers, for example.
Already know how to preserve food? We'll load you up with produce to take home. Want to learn more about how to freeze, ferment, dry, or can vegetables? Come to a demo event or preservation workshop. Those are free for members, too. Ask our members! Having a freezer full of pesto or a gleaming shelf of tomatoes on hand is one of the nicest favors you could do for your January self.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you'd like more information or need help choosing the perfect share for your household.
