Lockhart Family Farm

The Lockhart Family Farm is a family owned and operated farm in Caroline County, Virginia. We focus on raising high quality rare and heritage breed pigs and poultry in a natural woodland environment. Our Animals are free-ranged and antibiotic free. We sell direct to customer, to a number of restaurants and retailers in Richmond and Fredericksburg. We freely welcome guests at the farm and believe in a transparent operation. There are regular on-farm tours, workshops, and field trips available for people of all ages. We believe strongly that everyone should have access to good quality, healthy food and works with the Richmond Food Coop and Shalom Farms to make sure that 10% of our products freely make it into the hands of those who most need it, and offer internships and work placements to the long term employed, refugees, and military in transition to civilian life. We also believe strongly in the mission of Slow Food who believe the food should be good, clean, fair, and for all. To show our support for those organisations, Slow Food RVA and Richmond Food Coop members get a special 7.5% discount on all of our CSA�s, events, and farm gate sales.
