I've been raising alpacas in the area since July 2006 and am involved with 2 local handspinning groups. Alpacas are pasture fed orchard grass during the lush summer months and hay during the winter dearth while they enjoy the warm barn sharing with a delightful herd of mixed dairy beef cows and calves.
Their fleece comes in 16-22 natural colors and can also be dyed with Kool-Aid or Acid Based Dyes for the primary colors. Otherwise we have whites,tans, browns, I also make lye soap! Beekeeper with apiary on premises, Heritage Tomato Plants, fruit, and SEED, Honey, Maple Syrup, fresh laid chicken eggs, fall live turkeys, spring poults, teach spinning. Fleece is handprocessed and dyed and available for spinning, felting, yarn. Batts and rovings available, wool. We also have tons of Mulberries if you need fresh leaves for your silkworms!
