Fresh organic vegetables; cooperative farm-centered community; and sustainability of local agriculture are the basic principles behind Stonebridge Farm, a 11-acre community-supported agricultural (CSA) farm located two miles east of Lyons, Colorado, on Hwy 66. Established in 1992 as the first CSA in Boulder County, Stonebridge offers seasonal memberships of organic produce, herbs, and flowers for pick up every Saturday from the second week of May to the end of October. Stonebridge is a share-the-harvest farm, meaning the weekly share of produce is determined by dividing what the garden yields equally among members rather than on the market value of the produce. Share size generally fits 2 adults or a family with small children. Stonebridge Farm is also a licensed winery selling farm-crafted wine from cold-hardy grapes grown at the farm.
