Casselmonte Farm is an USDA Certified Organic farm. We are a niche farm, specializing in 8 products: Asparagus (April/May), forest grown Shiitake Mushrooms (May/October); early heirloom tomatoes (13 varieties!), blueberries, blackberries, and fingerling potatoes (all in June); field heirloom tomatoes (July) along with okra, eggplant, peppers and heirloom watermelon! (Spring is also decorated by beets and cauliflower.) In the fall, we'll have cauliflower and beets, but the real deal is Ginger - white, yellow and blue! Plus Turmermic! Available the first of October.
At Casselmonte, we are "bringing taste back to the table!"
Our helpers include the Vizslas ~ Mira and her son Remek ~ and Lucy, the stray that took up with us. We have 5 acres under cultivation in Powhatan, and manage the rest of the farm for wildlife, especially quail.
Casselmonte Farm is "bringing taste back to the table" with USDA Certified Organic asparagus, heirloom tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, blackberries, blueberries,Bradford watermelons & baby Ginger and Turmeric. We sell to select Richmond restaurants and May through October, every Saturday at the South of the James Farmers Market in Richmond, and Thursday afternoons (4-7:00) at the Powhatan Farmers Market.
