Deep Roots Valley Farm

We are a 150 acre fifth generation family farm located only 15 minutes outside of Reading, Pa. The animals that we sell to our consumers are all raised humanely and are free of hormones. We don't feed antibiotics or genetically modified grains. The animals are all raised naturally in a pasture based system. Available products: Pastured Poultry: These birds are raised on whole grain non gmo (non genetically modified) locally grown feed. At 3 weeks of age they are put on fresh pasture and moved daily to enjoy a fresh selection of bugs and greens. We offer a 6 month Chicken CSA as well. Pastured eggs: Our hens are raised on locally grown whole grain non gmo feed. They are housed in a mobile hen house that is rotated onto fresh pasture frequently. Pasture Raised Turkey: Our Turkeys are are raised in a the same manner as our chickens. Pork: Our pigs are raised without the use of hormones or antibiotics. They live outdoors and along with forage the pigs are supplemented with a locally produced non genetically modified feed. We sell grass fed beef.
