Wookey Ranch

Wookey Ranch raises delicious, all-natural, grass-fed and finished lamb and free-range, organically fed chicken and turkey on the annual grasslands of the Northern Sacramento Valley. We use holistic grazing with long pasture recovery periods to increase the health and diversity of the land and to maintain the health and vitality of our animals. We work with the land and the seasons to produce the best-tasting meat in the most sustainable way we know how. Our lambs and poultry are 100% antibiotic and hormone free. We grow them the way you expect them to be grown: on pasture, supplemented by high-quality, certified organic feed and water, with the freedom to move and behave naturally in a low-stress environment. Our mild and delicate lamb is sold by the individual cuts at local farmer's markets and on the ranch. We take orders for whole and half lambs in January and February. Reserve yours early, as this is a popular seasonal product. Wookey Ranch farm fresh, pasture-raised chickens are unbelievably juicy and full of flavor. Individual cuts of lamb, whole chickens and chicken parts are available from the farm freezer year-round and on Saturday mornings at the Chico Certified Farmers Market (March-December). Turkeys and turkey parts will be available later in the summer and fall.
