Earth-Shares CSA in Loveland, Ohio is now accepting registrations for 2017! Our season starts in mid to late May and typically runs about 22 weeks.
Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a direct partnership between the farmers who grow the food and the people who eat it. This partnership guarantees steady employment and a supportive market for the farmer, and provides regular distributions of fresh, natural food to the CSA's members.
Our CSA members buy a "share" for the year and pick up super-fresh, locally grown, USDA certified organic vegetables each week during the growing season. A share typically feeds a household/group of 2-4 people - though the quantity and specific items of produce distributed vary from year to year and through the season, of course! Half shares are also offered this year.
Some of our shares include a work hour commitment during the growing season, and can be purchased with gardener approval of the member's workshare application. These workshares provide needed assistance to our full-time farmer in growing and harvesting the vegetables, and cost less than a standard share.
Earth-Shares' land is USDA Certified Organic by the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA).
