Farmers' Friday Market

The Illinois Valley's Farmers' Friday Market will alternate between Selma and Cave Junction locations. The Selma Community and Education Center will continue to provide the space for the market in Selma while the Cave Junction market will be held in the parking lot behind the Illinois Valley Safe House Alliance (next to the DMV) by the Alliance's community garden. The market will be held on Friday evenings from 4pm to 7pm. The market season will only be two months long, beginning July 5th in Selma and continue through September 27th. The first Cave Junction market will be held on July 12th. Both locations feature grass roots landmarks that are the legacy of volunteer efforts and are a tribute to the Valley's community spirit. The Farmers' Friday Market in Selma features a cob oven and the 3000 square foot pole building which houses a 6KW solar system. The Cave Junction location is next to the just opened Alliance Community Garden. Live music, free bike repair, and other activities may be offered with schedules varying throughout the summer. Vendor booth fee is $5 per market for Farmers' Friday Market members or $10 per market for non-members. Seasonal vendor memberships are $25. The market also provides an important venue for small farms, crafters, businesses, and food vendors to connect with local customers, market their products, and get their names and products out into the community.
