We are a diverse livestock farm, we raise sheep, cattle, pigs, broiler chickens and hens for a multicolored variety of eggs. All of our animals are pastured, including the pigs, who enjoy times running around the pastures and cleaning out our woods, they root around and are fed a soy free grain supplement. The sheep and cows, are all grass fed and grass finished, we do not grain feed our ruminant animals at all. Our Broilers are raised in moveable chickens tractors and enjoy fresh grass and clover and the chance to eat bugs as they are moved daily, they are fed a soy and corn free supplemental feed. Out laying hens are raised on pasture and have two large chicken wagons for roosting and laying yummy eggs, they are fed a soy free supplemental feed.
We also raise mostly Gloucester Old Spot, and Red Wattle pigs for pork, Cornish rock and Freedom Rangers for broiler chickens, and Icelandic and Tunis sheep for their fine wool and for meat. Our herd of cows include Highland, Lowline Angus and British white/Angus cross. The laying hens are a moving target, and encompass a flock of a variety of different kinds, giving a rainbow spectrum of eggs. Our meats, eggs, and value added products made from our animals are available at farmers markets we attend, and can be ordered on the website for pick up at the farm, delivery to the home, or at the famers markets.
In addition to ordering from the farm website, all of our products can be purchased at Farmers on the Square in Carlisle, on Wednesdays from 3-7pm, and at Dillsburg Farmers market, on Saturdays from 8-12.
