Hanson Family Farm

We are a small family farm in South Texas. Our farm is a pasture based operation, raising animals as they were meant to live. We don't administer hormones or antibiotics to grow animals faster or larger. We have tried to focus on heritage breeds and dual purpose breeds to preserve them. We raise Large Black hogs, which are a wonderful old world variety known for great flavor and delicious bacon. Currently, we offer a CSA for pasture raised heritage pork, which is grown out for more than a year on pasture, supplemented with non-GMO grain and antibiotic free whey from a local cheesemaker. Individual cuts and freezer bundles are also available for purchase. We also offer hand made soaps, made with our own farm fresh milk, seasonal fruits and honey from our bees.
