Grass is Greener Meats and Produce is a small family farm focused on preserving heritage breeds. Our goal is to raise superb-tasting meat animals; many of which are listed on the SlowFood USA Arc of Taste. Our pastured pork is the Red Wattle and we sell by whole, half, and individual cuts. Our 100% grass-fed beef is the Red Poll, a calm breed of cattle with rich, tender meat. Our pastured Freedom Ranger chickens (slow growing hybrid, not heritage) and Bourbon Red heritage turkeys are available fresh with advance reservation. Frozen birds are available for sale in a limited quantity. Beef, pork and lamb are only available frozen.
Feeding practices:
Pigs and poultry receive a non-gmo grain ration while on pasture, but our herbivores (cattle and sheep) eat grass during the growing season and high-quality hay other times of the year!
Where and How to Purchase:
In 2015, we offer a quarterly "a la carte" CSA and we have monthly delivery service available to Granger and Valparaiso.

We love everything about the Rowe family and farm. Have been buying their meat for a while now and it is great! And Toni's soap line is really wonderful!
I have learned so much about food from John and Toni Rowe. Hope to do a farm visit with our grandson's this summer!
