Melwood Farm

We are a small farm that is conveniently located on Rt 7 just 15 minutes from downtown Huntington, WV near Crown City, OH. We raise heritage breed St. Croix Hair Sheep, Myotonic (Fainting) Goats, and poultry on rotated pastures, orchards, and woodlands that are free of chemicals using regenerative agriculture practices. Our mission is to be economically and environmentally responsible while providing quality breeding stock and healthy alternatives to industrial farmed products. We also offer workshops each year to teach others how to care for sheep. We were blessed with a grant from the Livestock Conservancy in 2020, and featured in Farm & Dairy in April 2022. Crystal is a Director on the St. Croix Hair Sheep Breeders, Inc. board of directors.
