iEat Green is simple. It promotes eating organic, buying foods from local farmers and eating seasonal foods whenever possible. It recommends a diet high in fruits, vegetables and whole grains. It supports sustainable agricultural practices and encourages a connection between the farm, the farmer and the table. Through educational opportunities, iEat Green helps its clients pave the way to a a healthier today and a greener tomorrow.
iEat Green is always looking for Garden and Cooking Interns!
The intern will help with organic gardening, healthy/plant based food preparation and service, and food activism events that iEat Green is involved in through Slow Food North Shore, NOFA-NY, and Long Island Food Coalition.
This is an unpaid internship, with perks, like weekly access to organic produce, and daily organic lunch. Open to working with students to receive school credit as well.
