Where Door County Heritage Meets Homemade Goodness
Our Story
The Koepsel family's connection to Door County spans nearly two centuries, beginning when our ancestor, Increase Claflin, became Door County's first white settler in 1835. This deep-rooted heritage continued through Kevin's grandmother, born in Bailey's Harbor in 1886, creating a rich dual lineage that's been interwoven with Door County's pioneering development from the very beginning.
Since opening our doors in 1958, we've been sharing treasured family recipes that date back even further than our market itself. These time-honored techniques and secret family formulas have been carefully passed down through generations, preserving the authentic flavors that have delighted visitors for decades.
