We are a small family farm striving for food independence, and we practice sustainable living and farming by doing things such as drip irrigation, no till garden, recycling, composting and more. We plant Heirloom or open pollinated seeds in our ever expanding garden, which we save for the next year and sell the surplus. We have planted a small orchard that we hope will produce for us in the 2014 season.
We grow carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins, squash, herbs, apples, pears, apricots, plums, and more. We are members of The Livestock Conservancy as well as breed associations. We raise Heritage, and pastured, pork, chicken, duck, and goats. Although we are no certified organic we do not allow chemicals onto our property like pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, etc. furthermore we do not give antibiotics to our animals unless it is necessary to save the animal's life. We never use hormones or steroids.
