Liberty Farms Organics: Viburnum, MO. Organic goes beyond non-GMO. GMOs, toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, and artificial colors and flavors are all prohibited under USDA organic regulations. We don't use any of those. The standards do allow the use of many things that we don�t use such as antibiotics. So even though we are not USDA certified organic, we go beyond those standards. Everything our animals eat is either grown here or is labeled as being certified organic, exceptions being sea salt, minerals and some hay we feed from off-farm. We go to great lengths to research our animal food sources. Animals are never given any hormones, vaccines, chemical wormers, antibiotics or pharmaceuticals. We offer fresh chicken eggs. Our chickens run outside finding food for themselves except at night. The grain they are fed is labeled as being certified organic and includes no soy products. If you're interested in the grain mix we feed let us know. We also offer fresh raw goat milk, which is seasonal. We use herbal wormers and supplemental feeds such as pumpkin seeds, rose hips, sunflower seeds, garlic, dolomite, kelp and many others in order to ensure they are getting a well rounded diet. We keep the number of goats on our farm to a minimum in order give the ones we have plenty of room to browse. If our goats are lactating and there is insufficient pasture we feed them one to two cups of Field peas mixed with green peas. We also offer goat milk soap.
