We are a family farm. Mark and Nibby Bartle own, manage and work on the farm. Our children, Miles and Lily, also help out in the summer.
We grow a diverse mix of C.C.O.F. certified organic vegetables for sale at farmers markets in San Francisco and through stores in SF and Santa Cruz. Our specialty is our "truly dry farmed tomatoes" which are never irrigated. We don't water after transplant, during dry spells, Never! This takes a lot of skill and faith, the fruit is smaller but intensely flavorful. We also let our tomatoes really ripen to red on the vine before picking to get the richest, sweetest, most complex flavor.
We also grow lovely lettuce, bunching greens, zucchini, basil, beets,and dry farmed winter squashes.
