Activities Available Throughout the Market: -Meet a former Kentucky State Apiarist -Experience live bee demonstrations -Watch honey recipe demonstrations with FEED Louisville -Learn about sustainable beeswax products -Shop local vendors -Family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon Schedule: 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM Welcome & Pollinator Talk with Dr. Tamara Potter Dr. Tamara Potter, Extension Associate at Kentucky State University and former Kentucky State Apiarist, will kick off the event with a brief discussion on pollinators, bee health, and the important role bees play in our food system. 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM Live Bee Demonstration Presented by Beeing2gether Visitors can get an up-close look at honey bees, learn about local beekeeping, and purchase Kentucky honey. 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Honey Recipe Demonstration Presented by FEED Louisville FEED Louisville chefs will showcase recipes featuring honey and share creative ways to incorporate local honey into everyday cooking. 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM After-School Live Bee Demonstration Presented by Beeing2gether An informal opportunity for children arriving after school to experience the live bees, learn about pollinators, and ask questions about beekeeping and conservation. 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM Vendor Spotlights & Community Conversations Participating vendors and partners will briefly share information about their products, missions, and connections to bees, pollinators, sustainability, and local food.
